The new "Fresh Faces" search is on!  I am looking for little girls between 3 and 5 with long hair (past shoulders) and fair skin.  I have a certain portrait that am wanting to take and I need a few sweet little girls for it.  I am also looking for anyone with dark hair with light eyes.  If you have dark brown or black hair and either green or blue eyes then you have the look I want.  Guys or girls, young or old, it doesn't matter.  If you or a loved one have either of these looks and want a free portrait session and 2 free 5x7s then this is your lucky day, give me a call at 864-801-1131 and we will get you set up for your "Fresh Faces" session!

What is better than one cute, smiling, chubby baby?  Two cute, smiling, chubby babies!  Grace and Daniel brightened up the studio with their gummy baby smiles when they came in for portraits!  This brother and sister combination gave us a lot of great photos and ideas, none of which were identical!  Thank you Grace and Daniel for choosing us to capture your precious portraits! 

Did You Say Quintuplets?

When Miley told her friend that we would be photographing quintuplets, her friend mistakenly replied, "Wow, four babies!"  To which Miley laughed and replied, "Yes, plus one!"

In preparation for the Gonzales family to come in with the quintuplets plus older daughter Andrea (whom we photographed earlier), we decided we needed to pull in reinforcements!  Our knight in shining armor was Carey Roth, whom I recruited from ilovephotography.com (a great online community for anyone into photography).  Carey graciously decided to volunteer for the day!  Having twins of her own, she was very experienced in toddler management, and we can't thank her enough for the set of extra hands!!

It truly was a pleasure to see the Gonzales family again and we hope it will not be the last!  Happy Birthday to the Quints, enjoy those cupcakes!

And The Next Look Is...

I must say that I have been having a great time photographing all of the models who have come in for the "Fresh Faces" model search that I have been ding here in the last few months.  So far I have had searches for freckles, mixed heritage and fat babies.  And here a great one from my last model Parker.  Okay, he really came in for his Easter portraits during the Portraits For Preemies fundraiser.  But I couldn't resist taking a few extra portraits of his cute chubbiness.  I could have just eaten him right up!!

Spring Is In The Air!

What an absolutely gorgeous  weekend it was!  Even though it has been a fairly mild one, I am so ready to be done with this whole winter thing.  I must admit, even though I have been here in South Carolina for 13 years now, I am still a Floridian at heart.  I LOVE the warm weather and sunshine along with all the beautiful colors it brings out.  Winter weather makes everything so blah and drab. 

Yesterday my son Alex and I ventured to downtown Greenville for the annual Return To The Green, the Irish festival held at the Falls Park.  Although it isn't as big an event as the Greenville Scottish Games & Highland Festival, it still drew quite an amazing crowd!  Nothing like a beautiful day, a pipes and drums band, live Celtic music, some Irish brew and dancing to bring out the crowds.  It was fun and I hope to make it out to next years event as well.  Here are some photographs I took of the day.

Like I said, Spring is in the air.  That means it is time for location portrait sessions.  Dates for location sessions are limited and are already starting to fill up.  If you are interested in a location session, now is the time to call and book your date and time before there isn't any left!  The flowers are certainly in bloom now and as you know they won't last forever, so don't procrastinate on this one or you will miss out on your chance.

First Rain, Then Snow & Next Warm Sun!

What a wickedly weird weather pattern we are having here in the south!  And it has made for some great photo opportunities for me. 

First, on Saturday afternoon after I finished with the "Portraits For Preemies" photo sessions, I took one of my favorite little models out for some fun int he rain.  We went puddle jumping and got some great portraits of some really big splashes.  Thanks Grace for playing in the rain with me, I had a great time and I know you did as well! 

 

 

Then came the snow, and more snow and even more snow!  I decided to venture out yesterday afternoon and see what I could find to photograph here in downtown Greer.  There is this beautiful old graveyard (okay, I admit it. I have a fascination with really old graveyards) with a quaint little church in front just down the street from the studio.  So I ventured down there to see how it looked in the snow, and man was it so peaceful looking.  I couldn't resist capturing the serenity of it.  

 

And next thing the weathermen are calling for is highs in the 70's this weekend!  So you know what that means?  I need some models for some fun location portraits in the sun!  Who wants to play?

It also means that we are getting closer and closer to Spring and Spring location portraits.  Spring portrait sessions fill up quickly so don't miss out on your chance to get in on the action.
